Forums Frequent flyer programs The British Airways Club BA Executive Club account – using Family & Friends list

Hi, I have read the articles on Household Account and Family and Friends. I am still a bit confused about how it works. Maybe easier to explain what I want to do. My partner and I have a HH account – am the lead. My partners daughter and her boyfriend are getting married in St Lucia next year. We would like to sort out their return flights. I would like to use a 2 4 1 voucher but am still unsure how that will work. I need to know if I could book their flights etc even though I will not be travelling with them on the same dates. We will be flying out later and returning earlier. If I put them on as Family and friends would it be possible for me to book thier flights? Is this be possible? I appreacite I will have to be able to actually get the reward seats but that is something to worry about later. Many thanks,

You have to be on the booking if using a Companion Voucher so not possible. Of course you could use the voucher yourselves and use the Avios saved to book for the newlyweds.

In simple turns if they are in your HH you can use their points and they can use yours. If f&F you can book stuff for them using your points.

You can book yours and your partners’s flight using the 241 and you will need to pay ‘full’ avios for the newly weds’ return flights. No luck with Barclays up grade either as those need to start in UK.

That’s exactly the excuse I would give the young couple, when I turn up on the plane to St Lucia on their honeymoon 😀
