I notice that I am now unable to view the seat allocation maps for any of my booked BA flights on TripCase. I have 6 BA flights booked over the next 12 months and none of them now show the seat allocation map (They were viewable a few days ago) I have other airline flights booked and they still show. TripCase don’t seem to think it’s their issue so must assume it’s a BA one
Whereabouts do you view them as I’ve never been aware that was a feature.
Same issue for me which is pretty dire as I am generally very flexible with flight times so like to see a full seat map before deciding which one to book.
Also the Tripcase seat map on BA continually updates till close of boarding – meaning I often get on and say to crew “I’m in 2C but am I right in saying both 3D and 3F are empty?”
Ok it’s a tripcase issue. Just checked future bookings on 3 other airlines and all unable to ahow a seat map. Of course, other airlines show a seat map before booking unlike the shy debutante approach of BA keeping their dance card close to their chest.
At least BA seatmaps are visible via such third party sites as Tripcase (hadn’t heard of it before) and ExpertFlyer. Lufthansa block their seatmaps on Expert at 3 days out. Good for them from a commercial confidentiality perspective as it is easy to determine load factors by looking at a seatmap just before deoarture) but bad for us punters!
