Not sure if new news or not but just seen BA have cancelled LGW- JFK between Dec – March

Yes been reports.

Due to non availability of planes.

Should be no problem to be rebooked on an ex-LHR flight or to cancel full stop for a refund.

Actually before asking / accepting any move to LHR see if the price is less than your ex LGW booking,

Apart from LHR probably being inconvenient for many compared to LGW, at least LHR-NYC usually (all?) have Club Suite rather than the old yin-yang seating.
