BA Holiday to US and Double Avios

Does anyone know if you need to pay the full balance of the holiday off to qualify for the double Avios offer on flights to the US at the moment?

I suspect so, but just trying to decide if I should pay off my flight now to get the double Avios once I’ve flown it or if the system sees the booking as qualifying for the offer as I’ve paid the £150 deposit…
