BA Holidays upgrade with Avios from different accounts?

Hi

Hoping someone can guide me before I join the long phone queue. I want to upgrade a WTP segment to CW with avios on a BA holiday. Availability is there.

There are 2 of us on the holiday. Can each of us upgrade separately with avios from their own accounts? And if not does the avios have to come from the account of the person who booked the tickets?

Last question – do I have to call the holiday line in the UK or can I call the US one for example?
