Hi
Wonder if anyone has experienced this and has any advice? I made a group booking (12) with BA Holidays and was basically told that it would have to be 2 bookings as they can’t do 12 on one booking… fine I thought. The problem is, even though both the bookings are in my name I can only add my executive number to the booking where I’m a passenger meaning I’ll only get the bonus Avios on one of them. I’ve called a couple of times with no joy, they just don’t seem to understand the issue.
Am wondering if I should just submit a missing points claim when the other booking has posted and hope for the best?
Thanks.
Through MMB the BAEC number is not ‘added to the booking’ as such but is associated with each flight / person, so there is no way to add your number to a booking where you don’t have a flight.
The relevant question is what, if anything, will happen to the BAH bonus avios from the second booking? It may still sort itself out, as you get bonus avios on a car hire only booking for example where there is no flight, so there must be another level of detail within the BAH system which manages that and may know you made the booking.
If not then a retrospective claim is probably less hassle than trying to pursue it before hand.
