Through the BA website we have booked Avios reward flights for two people from Tenerife to London on Iberia, changing in Madrid. (There were no BA flights available that day.)
Direct flights are now available.
If I cancel the booked flights what will the cost b? £35 x 2 people? Or £35 x 4 hops? Or £35 for one booking?
I think the seat reservations were free, but if we paid for them will they be refunded too?
The cancellation charge is per passenger , so 35×2. But if you paid Avios +£1 for the tickets you’d lose just the £1.
Seat reservation fees are non refundable/transferable.
You could just book the new direct flight and hope for a cancellation and/or time change on the indirect routing allowing a full refund. If that don’t happen you would cancel anyways nearer then time (ie just a couple of days before youre due to fly) .
