Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Club BA keeps rejecting complaint – cabin crew spilled drinks & broke headphones

  • 8 posts

    Hello,

On a recent flight frOm LHR to HKG I was in a Club Suite.

Before take off cabin crew leant down to remove the pillow and duvet from my footwell, spilling champagne on the tray they were carrying all over me and my (Bose) headphones, which stopped working as a result.

I complained to BA to try to get the headphones replaced; initially they closed my complaint without any resolution or contact. I submitted again and they did it again. Finally submitted a third time and have had a response from complaints basically saying they’d checked with crew and that it never happened and that they had no record of this.

Has anyone else had a similar situation trying to get them to believe you / how can I prove it if they are saying it never happened. Unfortunately I have no photo proof or anything – I am just surprised the cabin crew are claiming this never happened (if they were even asked at all ).

    Thoughts?

Did you actually tell the cabin crew that the headphones were no longer working?

@cacolborn – as suggested above, if this wasn’t reported and logged at the time and/or there’s no no evidence of the incident or that the incident caused the headphones to be damaged, there’s very little you can do after the fact.
