Reading about the e-gates chaos right now, and remembering pre-covid that my partner and I often got vouchers when arriving at T5 to use the fast track arrivals (she has a non-EU passport.)
Is this up and running again now? Or will we just be stuck if the e-gates are down?
Just arrived at T5 from Larnaka this evening at 5.45pm. Straight through e-gates and arrived at baggage reclaim just as they started. From landing to picking up the car was 25 mins. No need for any fast tracking.
Arrivals fast-track at Heathrow for premium long-haul passengers hasn’t worked for years…
Fast track relied on (a) airlines paying for it and (b) UKBF having the agents to run it.
At T5 UKBF had a standard hourly rate they would charge BA. At other terminals it was a £ per person paid by the airlines.
