Just looking for any recent experience, website says BA lounge closes 19.30, and Bidvest lounge also closed at the moment, anyone been on the 22.00 BA44 and either been in the lounge “beyond closing” or had an alternative?
The Bidvest Lounge was open in December, it was okay but some of the hygiene around the buffet wasn’t great, flys about the open food etc.
But nice enough place to spend an hour or so.
I doubt that is the case and that the website has not been updated recently. Remember the BA 44 was an extra flight for which Rob let us know there were many extra Avios seats. And we got 2. I’m pretty sure the lounge will be open later for the 2200 flight. We’ll be on it in a day or 2.
I’ve just come back from CPT. Our flight was 2055 and the lounge was open as we left for gate with lots of people in it so I think it’s open until much later. Lounge had improved massively since I used it two years ago.
Indeed, we were in there Thursday, obviously just not updated the website to reflect the extra flight going later. Was considerably less congested when the earlier passengers departed…
