BA Partner airlines Avios costs

Hi; we’re looking to book with QantasLink to travel from Exmouth (LEA) to Perth (PER) next July 12th. The seats only become available tomorrow morning for BA Avios for that date and i know that i need to ring to book. Does anyone know how many avios standard economy should cost please – one way. The distance is about 780 miles, so i was expecting about 7k avios each from other searches but the BA agent we just spoke to said it will be 12,750 each plus an unknown amount of fees! At that price it’s probably better to pay £200 each and just book cash. I don’t want to challenge the BA agent unless i’m sure she’s wrong. Thanks
