Good morning. Made a change to a companion ticket booking a week ago. It involved extra Avios and a service fee for the change with minimal difference in taxes.
The agent said it would take a week and I that would receive an email when the extra cost is taken. The only problem is my card I used for the original booking had expired so she told me to input the numbers of the new card whilst I was on the telephone . I’m worried they are going to try and take the fee from the expired card and leave my booking in limbo .
I can see on the booking there is no ticket number so thinking it has not been done.
The original agent may have been a bit hopeful saying it would only take a week… Just wondered if anyone had any recent experience on how long this might take before I should chase?
We are not flying till the end of June. Thanks in advance.
Talk of the devil! I’ve literally just had the £70 debited from BA on my Amex ( alert from Apple wallet ) but the booking looks the same… No e-ticket number. 🤦🏻♀️

You might need to refresh the app multiple times or even log out and back in again for the ticket numbers to be reissued. The reissue should trigger an email with the ticket numbers and that could be a bit after the payment is taken, but that’s a very encouraging sign.
