Has anyone got any success in using this recently?
For reference I am silver, but only through status extension (became silver in Jan 2020, just before Covid) and due to lapse next February to bronze. We will not be flying enough to maintain silver by the time our baby is due in January.
Reports on the ‘other forum’ are vague, but seem to suggest that those who have had their status extended have been denied the parental leave status freeze. It doesn’t mention anything on the T&Cs page here (bottom item).
We will be travelling occasionally with the baby to see family etc so having access to lounges would be useful… And sadly I think the days of ex-EU QR trips to Asia are off the cards for the next few years!
My understanding is that, yes, anyone who has had a covid extension cannot claim this too. This may be based on the same third party reports that you saw though!
