Hi,
I just called BA to try to extend my account year to make it to 600 points for Silver.
I was informed that I needed to be within 20 points for them to put this request forward for consideration. I am 90 points short and have a flight worth 90 points in 1 week’s time.
Has anybody else encountered this restriction? Should I try something else?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Ian
Never heard of that restriction before! Try calling again and hope for a more helpful/ better trained agent 🙂
There is no extension of your year end date as that is fixed.
There is a grace period of 14 days for flights that you can ask to be credited to your old year.
But this is a request you make once the flights have posted and not before you’ve even flown them.
Call again after you’ve flown and the points credited.
Thanks for your replies.
Are you saying I should wait until my 22/23 points have been scrubbed, and I have points credited to 23/24, then call and try to get the points credited back to 22/23? Is that how others have accessed the grace period?
