We were on BA32 tonight which has been cancelled. As we booked using Barclays upgrade vouchers and had separate PNRs they put us on different alternative flights – me on LH and my other half on QR.
We obviously want to travel together so I phoned the Australian number and got a very helpful Indian girl so now we’re on CX tomorrow which means we need to book a hotel tonight – will BA pay for that as well as the 4 hour compensation?
If they told you now that they wouldn’t pay, would you still want to travel together?
Just send BA the bill and don’t remind them that you chose a later flight.
Agree. I’d hazard a guess the aircraft was tech at LHR on Tuesday so compensation eligible. I’d put the hotel on one of the claims and wouldn’t mention anything and suspect you’ll be paid without a quibble
We had same with Barclays voucher. Originally LH tomorrow in econ and KLM Friday and econ. Now both on CX tomorrow

Had you booked economy or was that a downgrade – if the latter I believe a refund of Avios is also available.
Compensation claim in.
And yes put the hotel on one claim.
