very welcome news.
Curiously they are parking up overnight at Madrid 6 days a week 🤔
It does allow you to land at LCY for 0835, then leave at 1915. Great for a Madrid to London commuter. You can’t do a day trip in reverse though. I wonder if they spotted an opportunity here.
The night stopping at Madrid is what was done previously by BACF.
My company will be a user of this service, we have plenty of Madrid based folks who need to attend meetings in the city and this allows a productive day
Madrid is really too far to go in the other direction for a day of meetings due to the time change & immigration for UK passport holders can take a long time there, we’d always travel night before.
Downside of this is BA seem to have killed off the winter LCY-PRG route altogether 🙁

I was filled with glee for a second, reading the title of this thread. Sadly 12:30 MAD arrivals make no sense from a workday return perspective. The real competition is the KLM-KLC connecting flight with the 09:30 LCY arrival. Direct flight is a clear winner here, especially considering the tight transfer if the automated passport lanes are closed at Schiphol (very high chance).

Winter LCY-BCN has gone and the route is now summer only.

10:30 on a Thursday?!?! Don’t know if you have ever observed an ACZA parking garage at noon on a Thursday. That’s when the people who keep Spain running get into their cars back to Las Rozas for father-son time and the weekend starts. From that time onwards every system bank is held together by interns & kitchen twine.
(Sorry if I offended anyone, this is obviously a gross exaggeration. Or is it.)
