I’m flying from LHR to DOH with a connection in FRA. My flight is Club Europe LHR to FRA and the QR business FRA to DOH. Has anyone flown this route and if so do they know if they need to recheck baggage or if it was transferred automatically or if the bag needed to be collected and rechecked?
Also what baggage allowance would apply?
For BA it seems each of us get 2x32kg checked baggage and 1 cabin bag 23 kg and 1 hand bag 23kg but smaller
For QR it seems we get 40kg allowance but it doesn’t say if that is one or spread over 2 checked bags and 2 hand baggage items totalling 15kg
So do I use the least allowance over both which would be QR allowance or am I allowed to use the BA allowance as that is my first flight and the ticket was booked as one redemption.
Also I’m assuming if I check a travel cot that counts as a checked baggage piece?
Finally has anyone had experience with taking foldable pram on board on a QR flight? I am getting mixed advice. On agent told me I can’t take it and another told me I could and it would count as a hand luggage piece.
Thank you
What does it say on your booking cofirmation?
As this has been booked as one ticket then bags will be transferred.

The confirmation email was my first port of call but for the qatar legs it doesn’t say but has a link which when clicked give 404 error page. Very helpful. But now that you’ve made me look again the BA leg says “40kg (restrictions on the number of bags may apply) and 1 handbag/laptop bag, plus 1 additional cabin bag and the following:
*Infants are allowed one cabin bag containing the items they may require during the flight.
**Infants are allowed one checked bag at 23kg (51lbs), except on Basic fare where there is no checked baggage allowance. In addition to their baggage allowance, each infant can have two extra items, such as a fully collapsible pushchair (stroller), baby back carrier, travel cot or car/booster seat, checked into the hold without charge.
**Following Airlines may have different hand and checked baggage restrictions
Qatar Airways
So it seems I have the QR allowance throughout the 2 flights but I’m non the wiser about the number of checked bags. And now I might have alllowance for the little one but I might not. The little is an infand so doesn’t have a seat like she would on a child fare.
So I still don’t know for sure!
They will be more flexible on the checked luggage (once scanned at your departure airport nobody checks) than hand baggage. I understand Qatar can be a little annoying on that one so follow their rules to avoid issues when you board them.

That’s handy to know!
