Bahrain Visa on Arrival – worth it?

Has anyone been to Bahrain recently and applied for visa on arrival?

Having read up about it, the process seems pretty straightforward.

Wondering what the process is actually like and if it takes up extra time at the airport, and if so, is it worth paying the extra to apply online in advance?

Very quick and straightforward – hand over your credit card – and you’re away. You just need to decide whether you need single or multiple entry. We did a side trip to Saudi so needed multiple. I wouldn’t recommend Saudi as a side trip – not cost effective in terms of the visa for a couple of days..
