I’ve been to Bangalore a few times but never as a tourist and on business I’ve never had time to myself to explore. Next year we plan to go to the Maldives again via India and Bangalore on the way back for a couple of days would work.
Aside from going to Mysore, which we have already visited, any tips?
If you have more time, Coorg has some good hillside resorts. But with just 2 days and poor traffic, I’d stick to the city.

Yeah, we got driven there after Mysore and they were some of the worst roads I’ve seen anywhere. Pretty destination though.
There’s a few interesting temples to visit, eg Bull Temple and ISKON Temple
The Botanic Gardens are nice for an hour or so, and pretty cheap. Cubbon Park has a few nice bits and some grand colonial red buildings, pop in when you’re looking at the parliament + courts.
The Palace isn’t as grand as Mysore, but still interesting enough. There’s also a couple of art galleries dotted about.
If you don’t mind early mornings, there’s a few Hill Stations nearby that are supposed to be lovely for sunrise walks
