BAPP voucher target spend

Hello, what happens in the following situation:

Card membership year 1: I spend 15k on the BAPP.
Card membership year 2: first thing that happens is I get a 1k refund.

Do I now need to spend 10k or 11k to get the voucher in year 2?

Should be £11k. What’s showing on your tracker? Unfortunately there’s no getting round card anniversary dates, it requires quite a bit of planning each year to optimize the spend and trigger the voucher.

Thanks. Tracker is showing more than 10k, I thought it only increases the spending target if the previous year’s spend would go below 10k. Hmm might be a time to cancel then.

I think the problem is that you’re going to have to spend that £1k before you can start earning the voucher, at least as far as Amex IT goes. I don’t know how amenable their CS would be to adjusting it given that you spent well over £10k last year?
