Forums Other Destination advice Barcelona lounge

Will be flying back from a work trip this week, and wanted some advice on which of the four lounges in Barcelona is the best option (for food primarily, but ambiance/views also merit consideration).

On the non schengen side I think you only have Sala Miro. It was quiet and the cold food selection was pretty good when I visited last August.

You won’t have access to four lounges, they are split across terminals and destination types.

If you are flying to non-schengen from T1 (you will be if you are flying BA) then I personally like the lounge. It’s a step up from most generic lounges, but not as good as something like a Cathay or Qatar lounge.

The ambience is good, but views will be of the terminal interior. For food, think bread, hams, cheeses and pastries. Full range of alcohol and soft drinks.

I wouldn’t go out of my way to spend time there, but if I was stuck there some hours I wouldn’t mind too much.

Flying back on BA in a couple of weeks. Is the above still valid in that there is only one lounge available? If so, what is it called, and is it on PP?

    OW lounges are listed here

You would need to check with PP if it’s part of their network.

Yes, only one. Immediately past duty free there is an elevator and stairs going down to Joan Miro.

It’s on PP (plus status/travel class access for all airlines) and you won’t have any trouble getting access. The food and drink is very good for a PP lounge.

Once in the lounge, turn left for the bigger food selection, turn right for the same but smaller selection (or no food, depending on time of day) and quieter seating area.

On the Schengen side, the Pau Casals lounge is superb. Clean, calm, comfortable and with a very wide range of healthy fresh produce. One of the very best contract lounges I’ve ever visited and a welcome improvement on the mediocre offerings you find in most airports.
