I do not think this has had a dedicated thread yet and I would like to share my experience that may give others some valuable info.
Both the wife and I are long term Barclaycard (and Barclays) customers, so would only qualify for the reduced bonus (as I did when I swapped by Barclays Premier account from Blue Rewards to Avios Rewards). Again, being long term customers we are also in a Position to hold two Barclaycard each, from a time when you could apply for a secondary Barclaycard for Balance Transfers offer and/or a Co-branded product. Whilst I own two discontinued product that I would like to keep (Barclaycard black Cashback and Hilton Honours), my wife had two simple “Platinum” products, with no additional benefit at all. So we decide to initiate product swap for both cards. One was swapped for a BarclayCard Rewards card (0.25% cashback and more importantly free Forex usage, to be used as back up to our MBNA horizon and Santander Zero), and after 10 days from initiating the swap in the app, she received a text confirmation that the swap had been completed and a new card was on the way. The other was swapped to the free Avios card, and after over two weeks, we are still waiting for any confirmation of the swap being completed and the card being sent (for both swap she received an immediate text confirming her request was accepted and the swap would be initiated).
Again, having been a Barclays/Barclaycard customer for over 20 years, I never experienced such long delays to product swap/get a new card (fairly recently she also ordered a new DebitCard as hers got damaged, and it took closer to 10 days to get a new one, vs. 3-5 days experienced historically).

Barclaycard product transfers always go through on your next statement date.
If you request it on the 2nd, but your statement date is the 1st, you still have to wait until the 1st of the next month until the product transfer happens. You can use your old card while the new one is in the post though, and earn Avios etc. as usual (so long as the product swap has happened and the new card is showing in the online/app banking).
I have 2 Barclaycards. I transferred my 0.5% Cashback card to Avios… I have a regular Platinum I want to swap for the Rewards card but it never offers the option in the app!

This sound plausible if it was not that we applied for both card to be transferred at the same time and both accounts have the same statement date.
