Hi folks
We’re booking to fly to Calgary via Toronto next July. We have 2 ‘upgrade’ vouchers. We have to hit a particular date so have to book outound at -355 so can use one voucher for go PE>CW for that flight for the two of us. When I book the return 3 weeks later direct from Vancouver, I can’t use the other voucher as the flight doesn’t originate in the UK. I assume that if I call BA to book the return flight, they cannot ‘convert’ these 2 bookings into a return flight and therefore let me use the 2nd voucher? I have enough points for a full Avios booking anyway if not.
Secondly, the outbound Toronto > Calgary leg is with Porter Airlines. I plan to book UK -> Toronto -> Calgary as one booking via BA. Having another partner airline in the booking will not stop me using the voucher which I assume would only apply to the BA segment?

You won’t be able to have a partner airline in a booking where you’re using the Barclays voucher.
You may find an agent who will apply the 2nd voucher to the inbound leg but they’re not all able or willing to do this (someone was having issues doing something similar yesterday, but did resolve it in the end via HUACA). You could, of course, just make 2 separate bookings with a voucher each although admittedly this could make your trip slightly more complicated.

Similar situation to what you’re asking about. I would advise the same re HUACA, however I don’t know how fast Vancouver flights get snapped up at T-355 so there may be some risk involved.
