Forums Payment cards Barclaycard Avios Barclaycard website (not app) download PDF/CSV error

I’ve had an Avios BC for 2 years and fortunately never had to contact BC CS with any problems. My nephew has just got a card and we’ve been giving it a good going-over (usage) to hit the £3,000 spend for the SUB.
We’ve tried several times to download a PDF and CSV of the current transactions, but to no avail. Each time it fails with a “system error” and then logs him out “as a security precaution”. He’s tried on his PC with several browsers and it always fails. It even fails on my PC although the download works perfectly when I login to my account.
This is attempting to download the current/live transaction details, not an historical monthly statement. The only thing I can put this down to is the usual piss-poor quality of most Internet coding and Barclay’s IT reputation being on a par with BA!! The only difference is that he hasn’t yet got any pre-formatted statements in his statement history tab. However that’s a different tab to the latest/live transaction display.
Has anyone else come across this problem? There’s nothing out on the Internet that covers this.
    Thanks in advance,
    Steve

I had problems with BC and getting PDFs of my account before. I needed some PDFs from when I first opened the account a few years ago and the website wouldn’t provide that functionality. I got in contact with BC and they said they could post me the paper copies, I asked why they couldn’t just send me the file of whatever was being printed. Computer said no. I argued but to no avail… they sent me about 20 pages of paper by post, twice.

Further to my original post above. Today the download of a CSV summary works. Today is BC statement day, so the problem is as I previously thought; it’s due to not having any statements/documents already stored in the download page. That’s an IT bug – quelle surprise!!!
