Forums Payment cards Barclaycard Avios Barclays Blue Rewards AND Avios Rewards?

I have the Barclays premier account with Avios switched on for £12 a month.

Barclays have launched a 5.15% interest savings account for balances up to £5k but it requires blue rewards. Is there any way of switching this on and paying for it alongside my avios rewards? Or do premier account holders have to miss out on this?

I just spoke with one of the “Financial Guides” at Barclays Premier on a quarterly review and he said that it is now possible to have both Avios and Blue Rewards.

It’s in the product T&Cs. And they also sent me an email about it yesterday:

“ Our highest instant-access savings rates are now available to you, as part of Premier Banking.
Our Rainy Day Saver and Blue Rewards Saver could help you get ready for the unexpected, and plan for the new year and beyond. You can also access your money whenever you like.

And the best part? Even if you have Barclays Avios Rewards, you can now open both savings accounts, without needing to be a member of Barclays Blue Rewards.”

    But yeah very disjointed comms.

You can have the savings account, but not the Blue Rewards scheme though?
