I would like to use my Barclays upgrade voucher for a trip from LHR to DFW. BA have recently stopped flying to DFW, so was going to go to IAH instead and buy the short internal flight on AA.
However, would it be possible to book the whole trip using Avios, LHR-IAH (on BA)-DFW (on AA) and have the upgrade voucher only apply to the long haul segment? Or is that effectively the same as redeeming two separate reward bookings (so no savings on the Avios used, and it’s not possible to add the upgrade voucher for one segment anyway?)
I’m hoping a guru on here might know before I call BA to ask!
You can use Avios for both sectors, but it would need to be on two separate bookings as the BUV can’t be combined with ordinary Avios bookings or any carrier other than BA.
