I forgot @Cat was there more recently! Probably more current re gold/diamond benefits as well, I think these were gutted after Covid.

I really like the Conrad. I’ve been there on redemptions in 2019, 2020, 2022, 2023 and 2024. I had been booked for this year, but switched to Milaidhoo when they got added to the portfolio in July last year… and that was a great move. Transfer and half-board for 130K points. Although the Titan Triggerfish were very aggressive during the first few days. One of the people staying got a big bite on his hand.
I’d be tempted to go back to Conrad next year. I’d still be diamond and would get to see what their afternoon tea would be like… but I’m not fussed on them moving the drinks to late evening at the Rangali bar instead of Vilu.
Always enjoyed this view with some Prosecco.

So I think I’ll try Baros. Boat transfer is included… so no need to worry about weight, and can use that saving on food/drink at dinner time.
Has anyone been to Baros yet. Interested to hear their thoughts.
Standard redemption gone up to 150K per night 🙁
Thankfully I’d already booked 15 nights. But I’d watched so many vids on the place that I was already thinking about 2027. Though I’ve been gathering snorkel reviews and cross referencing with D2. So might try something else.
Anyway, These changes to the redemption cost affect the calculation from the previous page by increasing it from £375 to about £450 for B&B per night. This still appears to be good compared to the prices I see on D2. I also see the Conrad’s gone up to 140k for a standard redemption.

Don’t they still have the free speed boat transfers?
Yeah. It says it’s included in the price when you click to look at available rooms an a particular date.
I have stayed at a few properties and here are my thoughts
2023 – Stayed in Curio (Saii Lagoon) Easter Hols and then Nov went to Amingiri
Saii was family, paid with money £12k for 3 of us + £3k upgrade to better rooms as the Beach with Pool room didn’t have more than one cupboard for clothes and the toilet was not in its own enclosure so not pleasant for the child after some decent local cuisine!!
I’d go back to Saii again – some of the beaches were great – water fantastic and having booked AI it was fine.
Amingiri – just the two of us (we can make it if we try) SIC sorry!
Used points for B&B and F&B cost us $2500 for a 6 night stay – we are not divers – more like beached whales.
We found it fabulous.
High costs for transport $375++
Cue 2025
Went back to Amingiri in March this year but with Son of 12.
Charged as 3 adults so all in all we had to pay $6000 on my Hilton Debit Card – got 160k points for all the F&B.
It was hideously expensive compared to 2023’s visit but you get a pool beach villa as entry level and it’s a fabulous villa for the points IMHO usually night price is between $1200-$2000 for cash. As someone said they get you on the F&B and unless you go big at breakfast avoid lunch and have an early dinner you are gonna be flogged – average dinner for 3 was $400 without alcohol.
We have now booked Amilla for Nov – https://amilla.com/ Watervilla with pool.
600k points for the B&B
Have to pay for the Seaplane flights – good Gold package and as its Anniversary they have gone the extra mile to create a night to remember including meal and champagne complimentary.
Would be happy to post up findings at Amilla – its under the SLH category.
Currently staying in a SLH in Portugal – I booked direct and they are refusing to add HH details to the booking as you only get HH points etc if booking through Hilton. Anybody had experience of this or am I being fobbed off? Thanks.

Well yes based on the rules you must always book through Hilton but sometimes they might if you ask nicely. In this case there’s nothing you can do.
Thanks – simply didn’t think about it at booking and thought it would be like other Hilton properties. You live and learn.

They aren’t Hilton properties though – Hilton just markets them for a booking fee.
It’s no different to checking in and asking if they wouldn’t mind paying 10% commission to your favourite travel agent, even though you booked direct.
