Just had my pre flight “ you’r getting closer to takeoff” email from BA and wow the marketing hyperbole is crinkly out of control
“Exceptional service. All part of the flight plan”
“ In just ten days you’ll be in the safe hands of our fantastic crew. From dedicated check-in, to lounge access and complimentary food and drink, look forward to the difference original service makes.”
“Your club Europe experience” is then accompanied by an image of Club world. The section on lounges is accompanied by a picture of the Concorde room dining area.
It really is the most atrocious example of marketing garbage, setting everyone up to either fail or be hugely dissapointed.
And when was it necessary to sell safety! When did that happen?
Had 3 so far from Virgin, extolling the virtues of such items as paid for upgrades and pay for extra baggage, but I’m already flying UC and have both. Marketing fail IMO. They began a full month before the flight.
Funnily enough hubby got one of these earlier, don’t know why I didn’t. A different style of garbage. It was headed “only three days to go to Sydney”. Which is odd given we’re actually flying to Heathrow in two days. Worried me for a minute or two but MMB looks correct.
