Base points for Diamond for Life

I think I am correct in reading their T’s & C’s, but upto 4 rooms a night (if on one bill) can earn base points on bookings.

So I am assuming that 4 rooms of bookings per night can count towards the 2,000,000 base points required to get Diamond for life.

This was seems an easier route than doing 1000 nights.
