    Hi, my wife has not held her own cards for over two years so time to join amex again. Wondering what is the best strategy, do I start with AMEX platinum and then get a ba premium card?

    Nectar card -> Amex Platinum -> BA Premium Plus.

    (Or Nectar -> BA Premium plus -> Amex Platinum)

    Just double checking then, applying for nectar doesnt exude you from applying for say the amex rewards gold after?

    You can apply for any card, but no signup bonuses except for platinum and BAPP.

    Because that’s the rule. To qualify for a Gold signup bonus you must have held no personal Amex for 24 months.
