    Hey all,

Am I right in thinking the Curve card is my best option for an FX card?

I have a BA Amex Premium and Barclaycard Premium Avios card which I put all my personal and work expenses through to maximise point collection. I travel with work, mainly US and Europe and I’m getting fed up with the fx fees on the Amex and B’card.

    Thanks in advance.

I have the same two cards as you and also the premium metal Curve. Put all FX spend through Curve & Barclaycard (Amex is NOT supported). There are probably cheaper ways of doing it as the Curve fee is quite high but they sometimes do quite generous cashback offers and you get 1% on all spend that isn’t in EUR or GBP.

If you mainly travel with work, can you not also claim back on the FX fee? In that case just use the Amex and Barclaycard.

If they don’t, or if it’s on personal travel, Curve only has a very low monthly fee free limit on the free card, and I don’t think it’s worth paying for the paid Cruve plans if it’s purely for the fee free fx. Chase is also an option, but normally it’s just least hassle and thinking just to get a FX fee free card like Monzo or NatWest credit card, and just forego the points

I believe there’s also a Barlcaycard with no fx fee and 0.25% back, but they don’t let you hold more than one Barclaycard at any one time, so you won’t be eligible for that

NatWest VISA Travel Rewards CC has no FX fees. 1% cashback on travel spend and 0.1% on everything else. You can exchange cashback for Avios as well. Ratio is £10 to 900 Avios.

Unless you historically already hold another Barclaycard, then you could switch one of them to the Rewards card that you mention.
