Recommendations of best lounge appreciated, walking in 9am ish midweek.

If all you have is the Platinum (no airline status), then it surely is the Centurion Lounge, no context.
Even with BA lounge access, I would still do the Centurion. Was there on the 29th October at opening (05:30 am) and had a fantastic breakfast (including egg Benedict).
They also have a fantastic bar with cocktails, wines and French sparkling wine (no champagne, although I was sure I was served champagne there before).
Each platinum cardholder can guest two people, so if you are travelling with your additional cardholder, up to 6 of you can go in.
