Passengers on a British Airways flight were served KFC after there were problems with the inflight catering.

A video showed cabin crew handing out fried chicken on Flight BA252 from Turks and Caicos to London via Nassau in the Bahamas on Sunday. Cabin crew had to buy several buckets of the fast food in Nassau.

Innovative solution! No good for veggies, food allergies etc, but what a good idea!

F & B on that flight is generally miserable so KFC may have been preferable! I don’t know how they get away with it on such a pricey route, tbh.

I say well done to whoever came up with this solution. Apparently, according to those in the know over on FT, the food on the flight from NAS is back-catered from the UK. In other words it is pre-loaded in the refrigerators in London for the in-bound flight. Apparently the fridges failed so the food was unsafe to eat.

I’d rather they served KFC than the alternative which is to cancel the flight. I agree not great if you are vegetarian but apparently passengers were also offered food vouchers so that they could eat once they arrived back in the UK. The KFC itself was served on the ground before take off so was hot and not reheated.

Let’s not forget the delightful corns, chips and coleslaw that KFC offer. Something for everyone….

In 2014 at Kalibo Airport in the Philippines we got stuck on the tarmac for absolutely ages. So long that I was able to talk my way off the plane and be escorted into the terminal, where I went behind a check in desk to use their computer to change the flight we were going to miss due to the delay. Being escorted back onto the plane got me some looks from other passengers! Anyway, after even more time sat there, some crew appeared with bags and bags and bags of McDonald’s for everyone! It was warm and a bit soggy, but it was really nice of them to do.
