Hi,
We will be traveling via T5, just wondering if we would be better off to use the Plaza Premium lounge (via Amex) instead of BA’s Galleries lounge?
Thanks
If you have enough time the T5B lounge is good.
I think Plaza is better than Galleries, especially for veg/an food. It was never too crowded for me either..
I would just bear in mind the recent Hygiene rating of Plaza Prem T5
It is 1!
Why are my favourite curry places never go above 3?

There’s a very well regarded curry place near me. Difficult to get a table, typically at least a 1hr wait for deliveries at the weekend etc. Saw in the local press a few days ago it’s just again been awarded a 1* rating. They clearly don’t give a stuff (unlike every other restaurant I know of).
Also remember that the BA lounges at LHR T5 (think it was all of them) were given 1* ratings a few years back.

That’s up to them.
RE BA LHR T5, iirc that was mainly procedural (as opposed to actual hygiene & food practice) in adequate record keeping which was swiftly resolved. Hopefully will be swiftly resolved at Plaza T5 soon.

Whilst this might have been true at one point, my recent brief visits (after de-camping from T5A lounge for a B gate departure), have seen it pretty rammed with the only free seats at the long communal dining tables near to the buffet/entrance. I wouldn’t make the effort to go to T5B unless your flight is departing from there.
Always worth checking the occupancy: https://ba-uk-occupancy.livereachmedia.com/
