btw – i`ve been going in store and purchasing £50 gift cards whenever I am in the area and I have always been getting the money back from amex.
Better yet, can just keep loading the same gift card with more cash. Worked for me w/o issue. One small problem is the GCs cannot be used online – only in person in the physical store.
You can purchase the goods online – pay for it – Then call Customer service, give your gift card details, they will then process the refund for you to your bank account.

My experience with this is nearly a year old now. Back then, I could not find a field to submit GC details when paying. A blurb on the GC purchase page confirmed store-bought GCs were not usable online. Could be that the HN website received some upgrades since then.
I got a Jo Malone hand soap. Partner not especially impressed. Definitely not great value for money. But it smells good 😂
HN are doing a ‘Lunar New Year ‘ 15% discount promotion that started yesterday . Code is HNLUNARCUR and works against clothing and cosmetics.
Thanks for this, used the code for some aftershave.
The £50 credited the day after the charge posted.
i purchased a voucher early to December which i redeemed for a sale item, unfortunately when HN went to pick the item the was no longer in stock. HN are ignoring my request to send me a new voucher.
If I eat in the OXO tower, does this count as the £50 credit? I know you can use HN gift cards in there but not sure about direct spend.
Thanks

yes. they are part of HN. (caveat based on a 2 year old experience!)
On chat to Amex this morning they advised the HN credit would be continuing beyond June.

Good news if true. Unlike some, I typically purchase something from HN a couple of times a year, so this would be a genuine saving on the annual fee.

Even Jo Malone soaps are not £50 😂

Yes – spoke to them this week and they confirmed they accept the gif card as part payment as eating in the restaurant at the weekend. If you have yet to sign up to HN rewards, then do so and select the restaurant reward which will get you 10% of the total bill

Velvet Rose & Oud for £45. Still going strong in the spare bathroom!

Sounds like an Oud to Joy!
I am planning to order something from Harvey Nicholas using my Platinum card.
Do you know if the 100% off upto 50£ is valid if I pick a heavily discounted item from the clearance section and then do a Click and collect? Or is the offer on delivery only or on full price items only?
Also, if the items costs only 48£ and I do Click and collect, will I still get 100% cashback or the spend needs to be above 50£?
Thanks in advance.

I have done multiple ‘click and collects’ for Rhys so it must be fine! Doesn’t matter what you buy – Amex only sees the headline cost.
If you spend under £50 you just get that back. My wife spent £27 recently and got £27 back, and I have a diary note to blow the remaining £23 before 30th June (probably on the same day I collect Rhys’s final Click & Collect!)
