Forums Frequent flyer programs The British Airways Club Best way to book Aer Lingus reward flights

Both my husband and I have avios on each of our accounts and we haven’t been able to combine them into one account to book both flights at the same time. I’m just wondering which way people think would be best to approach this?

We can either have my husband book the outbound flight for all 4 of us, and I book the inbound flight for all 4 of us.

Or we can have my husband book return flights for him and one of our children, and then I book return flights for myself and the other child.

I just don’t know which will be the easiest way to manage it? I don’t want the booking to end up being super confusing and possibly cause any complications

Without knowing the route and cabin it’s hard to comment other than to note that EI releases far fewer rewards than BA and especially in Business so 4 could just be an impossible number to obtain.

Sorry, I somehow completely forgot to include that important bit of info!

We’d be flying from Dublin to Orlando direct, and in economy class. The reward calendar isn’t fully out yet, but judging by this years I’m guessing that we would be flying from Dublin on an off peak flight, and returning home on a peak flight (looking at departing end of May and returning two weeks later in June).

As far as I can see with Aer Lingus it looks like there’s 5 seats released for each date for economy class. Unfortunately we can’t book through BA because they don’t have direct flights available, and any that have a stopover also include an airport change in London. Just wouldn’t work for us at all.
