Forums Frequent flyer programs The British Airways Club Better BA availability via Finnair?

I’m finding much better availability for LHR-SYD in CW via Finnair.com but on BA metal (BA15), even when taking the Companion Voucher extra availability into account. Seems odd for Finnair to be offering reward seats when BA aren’t?

Is that likely to be accurate or some sort of IT glitch? I don’t have quite enough Avios yet to try taking the booking through.

    Many thanks,

    Mark

    Interesting.

Sadly won’t be able to use a 241 though.

Not impossible. I booked a Qatar Airways redemption via ba.com which wasn’t available on the Qatar website. If you can book it, and it tickets, then you’re fine.

It seems to be an IT glitch. I have tried a couple of dates. All is fine until you try to proceed to payment, at which point it gives you an error message.

Did anyone get to the bottom of this? Finnair are showing availability in J back from SIN (on BA metal, direct to LHR) whereas BA shows none (which tbh is what I’d expect…).

Appreciate I could just book via AY but that means no use of 241.

Just wondering if anyone’s had any experience of calling BA to book. Seems odd Finnair would have access to more availability.
