Bonus base points as Ambassador when staying at IC’s?

Could someone confirm what bonus points you should receive as a plain (i.e. not Diamond) Ambassador when staying at an Intercontinental?

Two IC properties now have said to me via an info sheet at one and in an email from the other, that you get 100% bonus points as Ambassador at an IC, rather than the usual 60% as Plat Elite at other IHG properties

I can’t see this anywhere in the Ts&Cs of the Ambassador programme, and IHG CS confirms 60%? So have the two properties just got a bit carried away..?

As far as I’m aware there are no bonus points from Ambassador itself, you get the same status bonus as you normally do, so 60% by default with the Platinum status which comes with Ambassador.

It’s always been 60% for the various IC stays I have had as a Platinum Ambassador

That’s what I thought, just odd that 2/2 places have told me this. Did Ambassador use to come with Diamond status, and therefore 100% bonus and they just haven’t updated their info sheets/email templates?

AMB has never come with Spire / Diamond only Plat

There was a period when buying AMB extended Diamond but those days are long over.

Thanks all, I’ll take it as both hotels had a rush of blood to their heads and got their comms wrong, and won’t pursue any “missing” points
