I understand BA releases seats 355 days in advance v.s. Iberia’s 360. I have a companion voucher to redeem and therefore would need to book Iberia flights on BA. Would an agent in the call centre be able to make a booking 360 days in advance despite one can only book 355 days in advance online?
I’ve checked various previous topics and seen experience that someone was able to book Cathay using Avios outside the 355 days window by calling BA, but could not see any experience about Iberia. It would be much appreciated if someone could kindly provide an insight on this, and especially what key words I should use in case the agent refuses or is not able to make such booking initially. Thanks in advance!
As far as I am aware and from previous experience, no.
Iberia releases seats earlier and you can grab them using IB’s website (with IB Plus Avios).
On BA the seats will appear at T-355 even if IB released them earlier.
Apparently you can.
Today, a BA phone agent offered me IB reward seats for 6th April 2025.
He said he could see ahead to 10th April 2025.
On BA metal, those seats wouldn’t be available for another 2 days.
Wow that’s great! (so not available on the web but over the phone they are 👍)

I guess so.
I rang again towards the end of yesterday and had the ability to book PE tickets for flights departing Madrid on 10th April.
Didn’t go through with it, as I wanted confirmation of how far ahead you could book Iberia flight over the phone with BA.
Is there a chance it would have failed at the final stage due to BA IT?
Reporting back based on my own experience, as Aston100 said, it is indeed possible to book Iberia 360 days in advance by calling BA. I managed to book both outbound and inbound by calling BA in the morning (not midnights) when the seats became visible on Ibeita website, using the companion voucher. Overall the booking process was very smooth.
Another thing is, as I saw some people mentioned online, Iberia seats are not guaranteed to be released at midnight. This is indeed the case randomly. For example, one day at 6.30 BST, I searched on Iberia and saw there was no availability for business class for the flight 360 days later, but economy was available, and it was the case for many random routes I searched. I searched again one hour later, the business availability came up.
Apparently you can.
