I have booked a return journey to London using the “Book with Money, upgrade with Avios” option, thinking that by doing it this way (instead of book with Avios, reduce with cash) that I would earn tier points for at least the base cash part of the ticket.
However, when looking at the booking just now I see:
“Rewards for this booking: 0 Avios | 0 Tier Points”Is this a BA IT glitch, or was I wrong to assume that I would get any points for booking in this way?
It is a BA it glitch (all the more common with the new earnings structure as well)
If you’re doing this for WT+ into CW then double check the base fare isn’t higher than the fare you’re being quoted booking it separately and then upgrading afterwards.
