Made a booking on BA website travelling on QR in business class
Went onto MMB on QR site , seats have been allocated and I can change them however all the centre seats are greyed out (at the mo the flights are Q suite) and as travelling with partner would like to try EF , if I call QR will the assist and allocate or do you have to pay , I don’t know , even when searching for a revenue seat it’s still greyed out ???
If they’re greyed out then they’ve been snapped up. You will need to check to see if seats are freed up before you fly.
I have seen the same on previous flights with Qatar but when I phoned up they had no problem allocating centre seats so we could sit together so don’t know why they do that. Either way it’s worth the call.
Yes, with Q suites they block out the centre groups for parties of 4. As Shilly suggests, calling may help.
On my recent booking for two to Melbourne (hoping to add two more later), I wasn’t able to get centre seats LHR-DOH, but could from DOH-MEL. I’m assuming they were fully allocated on the first leg rather than they just don’t allow centre seats for bookings of two.
