Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Club Booking for 2 people with different outbound dates?

Is it possible to do this? The reason being is that I’m silver and would like to arrange seats together on return. 🙂

We’ve done it twice recently. We booked separately, then phoned exec club line to link the bookings, they can then seat you together.

This isn’t possible. If you are flying on different dates on one leg then you have to be on a separate booking. Silver can only get free seating assignment for other passengers on same booking.

If you were gold then you could get free seat reservations for other passengers on the same flight & in same class as you but this wouldn’t extend to the outbound leg.

Yes, I forgot wife is gold not silver

Options seem to be, then, (if pricing allows) book the return leg separately from the 2 outbounds, with both of you on it, or the Silver pax picks their seat and the other one pays for a seat next to them.

@m0deller, BA generally don’t link bookings any more – @MightyHunter may have been able to do it as wife is gold but most CSAs will say it’s not possible.

For Golds it’s possible to request To Complete Party which enables BA to allocate seats together but it does not actually link the bookings in anyway and things like the higher gold baggage allowance do not apply to the other person.

It’s a manual back office process and whilst they try and meet requests for specific seats that’s not always possible and once done you can’t then start shuffling them around in MMB.
