Booking Iberia Avios flights via ba.com

Hi,

Just about to book Avios flight with Iberia, but booking via BA.com. Just checking if the cancellation rules are the same as a booking a BA metal flight via BA.com? Can I cancel and receive all the avios and fees back, minus £35 per person?

I don’t think there is a benefit to booking on Iberia.com anymore as taxes/fees are the same as BA.com

Re your final sentence – change/cancel fee on reward flights booked through Iberia is €25, if that makes any difference to your decision.

The benefit, if its an Iberia flight, is that there will be better availability via Iberia Plus. If there isn’t, and the taxes match, then use BA because it is easier to cancel.

I found that Iberia flights have more Avios options in Iberia. BA may be displaying a certain price while IB allows you to mix and match pounds and avios. Prices should be the same from what I keep reading but I found it is better to book Iberia flights (cash or avios) on their website.
