HI All,
apologies if this has been answered, i had a look but couldn’t seem to find any answer.
i am looking to book some flights on Qatar, have done the usual setting up a Qatar account and linking up my BA EC account. However when i go to book, the option is blocked for me to select my BA FF account. It’s stuck on the Qatar account. I want it to credit my BA account for the tier points etc.
What shall i do in this instance? Do i book with the Qatar FF details and change after or does anyone have any other suggestions?
Thanks in advance!
I don’t know why it didn’t work for me but my BA number wasn’t applied in the booking. I used live chat and they were able to change the number to be the BA number, so hopefully I get points awarded there.
The UI hasn’t updated to show BA and still shows Qatar’s privilege club number, but the agent confirmed it for me. I’ve read that you can also confirm things at the check in desk.
Have you tried booking via QR but without logging into your QR account and adding your BA number during or after that process.
There is no need to set up a QR account simply to book revenue flights, and you can add your BA FF number in that process. Linking accounts is needed however to access your pool of avios for reward bookings.
I have seen reports, specifically relating to QR, that if you do book when logged in, it can be problem trying to get it changed later to another FF program.
