I can not see any Avios availability of QR flights on British Airways website for my dates but I can see it on QR’s website. Is it the same cost and tax on both and should I just transfer to QR and book or if I call BA, will they be able to book?
Is the transfer to QR instantaneous?
Lastly, if I wish to book flights for parents on QR’s website using Avios do I need to create a household account or can I just input their names with no Privelege accounts as they won’t earn miles anyway.

@S879 – if you can’t see the availability on BA, it may be that it’s only available on QR ‘Flex’ prices, double the usual Avios which BA can’t access. You can call BA to check – usually the prices will be the same for Avios/cash elements.
@S879, also whose avios are you using? If booking via QR you can only use avios from one account, even if you’re in a BA HHA, so you need to have enough to cover the booking in a single account. You should be able to book on QR without transferring the avios, though I think a couple of readers might have had issues with this recently (in the QR app I can see both my QR and BA balance, and could draw on both those if needed for a booking).

Yes, the transfer is instant. You do not have to transfer and QR can pull the avios from BA directly, but as mentioned I have had problems with this so I do transfer to QR first.
You can just input their names on QR website.
QR family accounts are completely different to BA household accounts.
