Forums Frequent flyer programs The British Airways Club Boston Terminal E fast track?

  • 15 posts

Flying BOS-LHR tomorrow morning 07:25 on BA238 (ugh). Does anyone know if there’s a fast track lane BA silver members can use? I think last time I flew out the only fast lanes were for people with TSA pre-clearance.

Any knowledge on how busy it’s likely to be at 6am ish?

By the way, used Mobile Passport Control on the way in and it was awesome. Easy to use app and sailed through in minutes. The regular queue looked like it was 45-60 mins to get to the desk.

It’s not a recent experience, but for the early BA flight 18 months ago there was almost no queue. We had TSA Precheck but the lane was closed because the place was almost empty. The lounges were also closed and the coffee shops were only opening just before we boarded.

No fast track, but security is usually very quiet and fast at that time of day.

The BA lounge should be open. It is an excellent lounge, and you normally board from the lounge.

Thanks for the heads-up – have just downloaded it as I have a US trip soon. Seems very easy to set up.

    Thanks all.

I can confirm BOS TE is very quiet ahead of BA238 and there is a sort of fast track – left side of main queue which takes you to the same TSA desks.

Also they have the new scanners at TE so don’t need to take out liquids etc.

The BA lounge is great, much nicer than the offer at LHR T5 with their lack of charging outlets and bathrooms stolen from a 1980s shopping precinct. The direct access onto the aircraft from the lounge is a nice bonus.

The PE offer on that route is particularly bad. You get a very mediocre breakfast after take off and then no sight of staff or service until before landing when they serve some mush that is supposed to be an empanada. I’ll be packing my own food next time!

I normally find that the TSA Precheck security line on the left is actually slower than the main lines, as it’s only one scanner, and all the crew use it.
