Forums Other Destination advice Brisbane Airport lounges

    Due to spend a couple of hours late evening in BNE airport later this week.

    Have access to Air New Zealand International lounge via QR J class ticket, or Plaza Premium via Amex Plat.

    Any advice or recommendations from the collective HfP wisdom ?

    Thanks.

    Would also like to know. Getting to SYD from SIN via BNE in November and have a couple of hours wait there also… got silver, and WE cards.. probably flyQF to SYD. TIA.

    I was there a couple of weeks ago – the NZ lounge is fine and at the time of the QR flight appears to be effectively only for QR passengers; there aren’t many other international flights at that time anyway. It overlooks the concourse and taxiways (although obviously dark at QR flight time) but I t’s well lit/designed and spacious with lots of different types of seating. Not sure the hot food looked so good, but no worse than other lounges and some of the cold food was better, eg good selection of real cheese. All constantly replenished. NZ wines middle of range. Haven’t tried PP, but given their general standards would be amazed if NZ weren’t better.

    I’ll be there next week so interested to hear what you think if you try both (although both may well close a bit early for our SQ flight).

    Wouldn’t you be in the domestic terminal? If so, I think you only have the Qantas and Virgin Australia lounges to choose from.

    Thanks,@JDB, appreciate that !

    @louie
    , I doubt I’ll have enough time to lounge hop which is why I asked for any advice.

    But you never know, I’ll report back here anyway for the benefit of others’ future reference.

    Indeed they have, LL, awarding it 4 out of 5 stars as recently as 1 March 2023 in a very informative article, which also reveals it’s directly opposite the Plaza Premium, so I may yet have a chance to be nosy and peek into PP as well.
