BA Holidays economy flight – which class?

How do I see which class an economy ba flight as part of a ba holidays booking will be? I am on the booking pages and am looking through everything but can’t see it anywhere….want to upgrade to premium economy after booking (the pe seats are available)….

You can only see the cabin type, not the fare class, if that’s what you mean.

@NorthernLass, yes I meant fare class to know whether it is upgradeable….does that mean I would need to call BA to see if its upgradeable before booking?

Go into MMB, select “Go to previous design” at the very top. Then select on your flight, and click on “more flight information.” You should see the selling class there… like a good BA treasure hunt.

If you enter the booking ref into QANTAS MMB it will show you the fare code for each individual flight in the booking.

I know what you meant! It’s a PITA but if you call and book the holiday over the phone you will be able to do the upgrade at the same time. You could say you can’t do the upgrade on line to try and get them to waive the phone booking fee.

You can’t upgrade a BA hols flight online only by calling BA Hols.

@NorthernLass @BAFlyerIHGStayer, its definitely a pain in the ass that I can’t even see what fare bucket the flight would book into in economy online. If this information was available, I’d be happy to book the economy flights holiday online and then upgrade over the phone but trying to do the booking and upgrade over the phone is more hassle than its worth, especially if the seats aren’t even upgradeable, which is what I expect the outcome to be, so a total waste of time on the phone…

You don’t sound keen but if you do decide to call, the agent can search upgradable economy selling class independent of what’s available on BAH website. BAH agents generally helpful & knowledgeable, and the wait is short if you ring at 8am.

Thanks @Gary, think the reason I’m not keen is the cheap flights I can see probably aren’t upgradeable. If I ask for upgradeable option I expect the price will shoot up but might still be worth the call….
