I suspect the answer would be no, but had to double check.
I am Red, trying to price up a LHR JFK return in late Oct just before half term.
There is 1 flight for the return that is showing, is a JFK – IAD on DL, and IAD – LHR on VS for cheaper than JFK LHR direct on UC.
Before I get my hopes up, I need to steer clear of that if I want to use my voucher, right?
Correct. Vouchers only work on VS flights.
There’s no reason you can’t book an open jaw (via the call centre) and make your own way to IAD either on Delta or the train.
If you book a seperate JFK-IAD flight with Virgin points or cash, Delta will check your luggage through from JFK-IAD-LHR without issue.
