Can I apply to Barclays (new member) with the new t&c’s

Can i apply for an account even though I don’t meet the income requirements? Has anyone done this as they provide misleading messages on their website that contradict the account policies?

The way it was explained to me is that if your income drops they may let you retain Premier by paying a monthly fee. You can’t sign up in the first place without £75k income.

Anyone can apply for it, regardless of the financial situation, but word on the street is that they’re going to be filtering through all customers who don’t meet the income/savings thresholds, and downgrading to normal accounts.

I’ve also heard similar stories to what Rob mentioned above, whereby they may allow customers to retain access to the premier account with a fee.
